Creating a Mini-Ritual
01 ... Set the Scene
Choose a quiet space where you can relax without distractions. Light your favourite Holistic Healing candle, give a few sprays of your Holistic Healing room mist or bring your diffuser into your healing space.
02 ... Mindful Breathing
Take a moment to close your eyes and focus on your breath. Inhale deeply through your nose, allowing your abdomen to expand. Hold for a moment, then exhale slowly through your mouth. Repeat this cycle several times, letting the calming scent envelop you as you breathe.
03 ... Somatic Practices
As you continue to breathe deeply, incorporate gentle movements such as stretching or light yoga poses. The movements do not need to be rigorous or anything fancy; we want slight physical engagement to help release tension stored in your body, enhancing the calming effects of the scent.
04 ... Sound and Vibration
Consider incorporating humming or gentle vocal sounds as you inhale and exhale. This not only creates a soothing atmosphere but also promotes relaxation through vibrations, which help activate the vagus nerve and further support your nervous system.
05 ... Meditation
Spend a few moments in simple meditation, focusing on the aroma surrounding you. I know many people struggle with meditation - me included - so we are going to keep it simple. Visualise the scent as a healing light, slowly enveloping your body and mind, washing away stress and anxiety. And breathe.
